2016 Grammys : Black Suits Were the Big Winner

Dark Suits Are Hot Right Now

By Janine Giorgenti

While last night’s Grammy awards brought about some great moments (Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech) and some low points (the sound engineer falling asleep during Adele’s performance), the big winner in my book was the classic dark suit look.

Dark suits (or tuxedos) represent an element of class, prestige, and style. They are perfect for “statement” events like, say an awards show, or your next big networking event.

Last night, the prominent color was black. I appreciated that many of music and Hollywood’s leading men came dressed wearing clean and elegant black, indigo, and grey ensembles that truly made a powerful statement.

The following gentlemen, in my opinion, receive top billing in the fashion department:

Sam Smith
