Colored, Patterned, or Solid Socks ?

Should you wear colored, patterned, or solid socks with a suit or dress slack and sport coat ensemble?
It depends on the style of the pants.
If you are going for a trimmer, trendier shorter length pant, then you should wear trendier stylish colored pattern socks. The key here is to totally contrast or pick a patterned sock which has the base color of the pant.
If you want a more conservative corporate look, wear a pair of high-quality solid color socks. Go with a shade darker then the pant, or match the color of the shoe.
For comfort and more support, I recommend the socks that go over the calves.
