0Should You Buy New Clothes While Losing Weight?
In a word, yes.
By Janine Giorgenti
There are designated periods during the calendar year in which we renew our vows to better health (generally entailing weight loss) through improved diet and exercise. These periods include Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, and – recently – Memorial Day Weekend.
It is no surprise that, recently, many clients have asked me if I think it’s a good idea for them to invest in a new wardrobe while in the process of losing weight.
My answer is very simple. Yes!
New clothes are – generally – brought under three premises:
1. to fill a void in one’s current wardrobe,
2. to enhance one’s wardrobe, and
3. to reward yourself.
You do not want to deny yourself the opportunity to improve your present wardrobe, or, purchase a clothing item that will genuinely make you happy.
Second, one must be realistic about their goals. Unless you are undertaking an aggressive weight loss regimen (like ones pursued by competitive athletes or those with severe weight issues), chances are you are not going to lose the amount of weight that’s going to make your clothes obsolete after you have reached a satisfactory point of your weight loss plan.
Furthermore, if you’re looking into custom clothing, you have even more reason to not allow a weight loss plan to delay your decision to select the right clothes of your choosing.
Today’s alteration techniques along with advancements in performance fabrics (such as the nano technology used in Giorgenti clothing) makes changes in body shape a lot easier to respond to.
NOW is the time for you to update your wardrobe. Why not let New York’s top clothier help you?
