The – Best Dressed – Oscar Goes To…

The Oscars did not disappoint.

By Janine Giorgenti

Just when you thought that we have seen it all when it came to red carpet fashion, guess again! The 90th edition of the Oscars awards brought out the movie world’s brightest stars and some of the most stunning fashion choices we have seen in recent memory.

Since we could not decide on one winner, we decided to split the award four ways.

The Oscars for best dressed go to…

Armie Hammer, dressed in a beautiful velvet tuxedo.

Ansel Elgort (with the stunning Violetta Komyshan), came to play in a black velvet shawl-lapel tuxedo.

Darren Criss, adorned in a textured burgundy jacket and black trousers.

Common, no stranger to “best dressed” lists, brings it in a charcoal Sharkskin tuxedo.

Bottom line?

Velvet was definitely a HUGE hit this year, and they are definitely something you should be looking out for!

We loved the shawl lapels we saw on most of the tuxedos at the awards, however it also seemed that peaks are making a huge comeback as well! Looks like we’ll be seeing these trends for a while!
