Spring is Here. Look the Part.

By Janine Giorgenti

The Spring season may still be dealing with some growing pains (inexplicably cold patches, cloudy skies, cool gusts of wind), but it is just a matter of mere days till you – knock on wood – shed your overcoats and winter coats for 4-6 months and embrace attire that will fit sunnier and warmer days.

A general rule of thumb to dressing for warmer weather is to wear lighter colors. Why? Simple, lighter colors reflect light. Plus; sun and warm weather, like lighter colors, evoke positive moods.

Here are two colors that will help you impress in the Spring and Summer months.

Sky Blue

A Sky blue shirt is easy to pair with any suit or sport coat ensemble. For a very modern and put together look, pair a sky blue shirt with a navy suit and a blue tie or wear open collared with a blue sport coat with jeans, chinos or dress slacks. The monochromatic color scheme will catch the attention of others and keep you looking sharp.

Tan

Tan is currently the hottest color in Spring sport coats. Pair a tan textured sport coat with a white or ecru shirt for a stylish look.
